Welcome to the first edition of Lego My Vote! On June 12th 2014, five million voters took the time to participate in the provincial election. This is how they voted:
As you can see above, four parties received enough votes to deserve seats in the legislature, and no party received a majority (or even close!). But, as per usual, our obscure first-past-the-post system robbed some parties of their seats, while grossly exaggerating other results:
Most Ontarians didn't vote for the Liberals, but they won a majority of the seats. Meanwhile, the Green Party got hundreds of thousands of votes - but zero representation in parliament.
